A great traditional mixer. Tasting notes :sweet raisin, banana with hint of wood. The barreled in bond and other expressions of it are better sippers but Jack and coke will always be an American favorite.

Got the chance to pick this up for MSRP but these prices are starting to get out of hand. $320 before tax when the HeavenHill 20 year I got a few years ago was half that price. I’ve heard mixed reviews on this one so I might trade this one for some bottles I like more.
What do you guys think about these rising bourbon prices? Is it taking advantage or is it simply supply and demand?

Secondary market is bad as it makes limited bottles priced way beyond their values. The best you can do is not buy them and seek alternatives. it won't hurt the Distillers because hoarders have already bought up their supply. Near me price has gone down. Especially on Buffalo Trace products.

Every time I decide to pour some Weller 12 I can’t help but get excited and smile. Elegance in simplicity. Such a pleasant sweet oak on the nose and palate. That’s it. Short finish and nothing fancy, just a solid simple pour.

Very pleasant cherry on the nose but not medicinal. Best cherry nose I’ve ever smelled. I can see why the rumors say this is 13 year old Wild Turkey. Vanilla and slight caramel but holy cherry.
Ethanol upfront followed by a rich cherry that surfs on the ethanol to cover the entire palate. Pretty one note but very pleasant. Medium finish but not too memorable. When the bourbon first hits the palate is where this bourbon shines.
