This is a time capsule in a bottle. Probably the most legendary Bardstown discovery series release, otherwise known as Disco 4.
Boozy che Read Morerries right up front covered in brown sugar. The nose alone is rich and intoxicating. The most syrupy bottle in my collection. Overwhelming dusty cherry and the smallest sip covers my entire palate. Fantastic bottle.

Whiskey Squatch Review: Redwood Empire “Emerald Giant” Rye
So there I was, sittin’ low by the rocks, lettin’ my hairy toes soak i Read Moren the spring run-off when I spotted this beauty: a bottle of Redwood Empire Emerald Giant Rye, nestled up like it had just crawled outta the underbrush on its own.
First sniff? Forest floor after a summer storm—think cracked pepper, wet oak, and a hint of pine sap. First sip? Like gettin’ slapped with a cedar branch and then hugged by a cinnamon bear. Spicy, sweet, and bold enough to put a fire in your belly, even if you haven’t shaved in a few decades.
But here’s where it got wild—right beside the bottle, coiled up like it had just shared a dram and ghosted? A snake skin. Shed fresh. Ain’t no coincidence. Either this whiskey’s strong enough to make reptiles reinvent themselves… or I had one too many.
Score: 4.7 outta 5 muddy footprints
Would absolutely recommend to: forest dwellers, cryptid cousins, and any human who can handle a little bite with their bark.
Stay fuzzy, stay toasted.

After a full day of ‘just one more store’ in search of the elusive perfect cocktail dress, I’ve finally earned some peace—and a pour of Blanto Read Moren’s Gold. Nose hits with toasted oak, vanilla bean, and dried fruit. On the palate: rich caramel, baking spice, a touch of citrus zest, and that signature Blanton’s heat balanced by a velvety mouthfeel. 103 proof never felt so elegant. Easily the highlight of my day—and the only thing I was allowed to pick out. Read Less
