-Distillery: James B. Beam
-ABV/Proof: 62.35/124.7
-Age Statement: 7 years 4 months and 21 days, card with levels in pictures
-Mash Bill: 77% Corn 13% Rye 10% Malted Barley
“Jerry’s Batch” is named in honor of Jerry Dalton, the only master distiller at Beam who wasn’t part of the family.
-Nose: Unsalted peanuts, baking spice, toffee, subtle red fruit, and hints of oak.
-Palate: Red fruit jam, building allspice, toffee, raw peanuts, and a touch of bitter caramel.
-Finish: Allspice becomes predominantly clove, extremely drying, subtle red fruit/toffee and oak.
Jerry’s Batch scores a 3.3 out of 5, putting it in the good range.
For my annual purchase of Booker’s, I’m happy with it. Some people feel these releases have lost a bit of their luster, but I still think they’re worth keeping on the shelf. Have a Happy Thanksgiving, Cheers!🥃
