Wild Turkey isn’t normally my go to but I have to give respect where respect is due with this release. I get cherry cola and cinnamon.
Read More Palate I still get a full body cherry and a nutty funk. Reminds me of a nice dusty knob creek bit with more cherry. Nice full body and good finish. A good staple of my bar.

Review #26 Old Louisville The Kentucky Series
Distillery: Old Louisville Whiskey Company
ABV/Proof: 50/100
Ag Read Moree Statement: 8 years
Mash Bill: 78% Corn 10% Rye 12% Malted Barley
We all have our own collecting habit when it comes to whiskey, but have the eight bottles from Old Louisville’s Kentucky Series made their way into your lineup yet?
Nose: Oak, cherry, toffee, brown sugar, light baking spice. As I get toward the end, I find some hints of earthiness.
Palate: Oak again right away, maraschino cherries, nutmeg spice, and a subtle nuttiness. As I work further into this glen, I start to find the emergence of dark red fruits and toffee.
Finish: Nutmeg spice leads the way, followed by subtle notes of toffee and red fruits, finishing with a fantastic, warming touch that’s never overdone.
I rate this at 8.8 out 10.
The next time I come across one of these bottles, I’ll definitely be adding another letter to my collection. This was a fantastic pour, and I really enjoyed the complexity throughout the palate. Old Louisville did a fantastic job with this bottle and I can’t wait to try some more offerings! Cheers!🥃🥃
