Bardstown Origin Series Bottled in Bond.
Nose: Dried apples, toffee, with a fennel type of herbal note accompanying.
Tex Read Moreture: Rounded. Nice syrup like consistency.
Flavor: Dried fruit, caramel, graham cracker crust. Its like a pie in a glass. Yet not overly sweet. Light oak, more vanilla bean.

Star Hill Farm American Wheat Whisky
Using dedicated regenerative farming and sustainable processes to produce a whisky that departs fro Read Morem the Maker's Mark's bourbon mash bill and contains no corn and no red wax seal.
It has a dual mash bill that is 51% 7 year old 70% soft red winter wheat and 30% malted barley, and 49% 8 year old, 100% malted soft red winter wheat. The bottle is labeled with the composite mash bill of 51% soft Red Winter Wheat, 27% Malted Soft Red Winter Wheat, and 23% Malted Barley. An American whisky, not a bourbon ,that comes in at 114.7 proof.
I picked it from @leisersliquors for MSRP at $99.
I have seen it at as much as $179 and over $249 from online shops for $249.
It comes in a rustic bottle with humble parchment "transparent" labeling with story and the mission on it. It is topped with a stone capped cork stopper.
In the glass, it is dark auburn colored and clings to he glass on the swirl.
On the palate, it is mouth coating, and that definitely contributes to its long finish
On the nose, it is "proofy" and sweet with a Bit o Honey candy smell and oak.. it also has lighter notes of citrus, fruit, and cereal.
On the palate, it translates. It starts and stays sweet with honey, toffee and oak. The mid palate adds apricot, berries, and orange peel before end with cocoa, pepper, and the consistency of sweet toffee and oak.
Finish is long, very long. The honey, oak, and cocoa linger as does the apricot. The mouthfeel
The swallow gives a good hug, demonstrating its proof while the oak and apricot stay on the tongue for a long haul.
This amber great pour and an interesting sipper. Maker's Mark has another great bottle demonstrating, "Nature as the maker." Nature and Star Hill Farms are definitely 100% Blue Pig approved! Read Less
