Nice sweet oak on the nose and great balance. One thing (of many) Bardstown Bourbon Company does right is their blending and balance of their bottles. I get a pleasant experience all the way down to the finish of the drink. Honey, nuttiness and a bit of cherry on the palate.
Corbin Cash Sour Mash
This Michigan distillery has been popping up more and more places and I just had to try it out. Very nice bottle and definitely holds its own against some of the better rye whiskeys I’ve tried from even the big name distilleries.
Cinnamon and caramel come up front and I really like the blend of sweetness and rye spice. Those sweet ryes have a special place in my heart.
