Last time I had this bottle I wasn’t too impressed. It was astringent, hot and a bit thin. This time around I’m getting much less ethanol. Sweet s Read Moreugar nose I can feel a cavity forming just by nosing this. Sour apple on the nose.
Ohh yess this is exactly why I don’t judge a bourbon by the first pour. Is bottle has opened up enormously and not that ethanol and heat isn’t blowing out my tastebuds I’m able to get the nuanced flavors behind the proof. Still a bit thin finish and a Kentucky huh at the end but delicate sweetness in the palate. Like when you add sugar and strawberries. Or Honey Nut Cheerios with sugar on top. Read Less

Peanut butter/cookie butter on the nose. Rich vanilla and caramel. Oh man I’m getting leather and tobacco as well. One of the best noses of any bour Read Morebon. No ethanol.
Tobacco, leather and dark oak on the palate. Such an amazing flavor. A perfect contrast to the Buffalo Trace sweetness. Such a great bottle and one of my favorites. Read Less
