This is my favorite holiday beer that gets me in the Christmas spirit. The Christmas tree is up, the fireplace is on, and bourbon county is on the shelves. Goose Island has special limited releases as well but those bottles are so expensive I find it hard to justify for a single bottle. Ironic given my passion for bourbon.

Not the typical Makers I see on a bar so I had to try it. Very nice creaminess like makers is known for. I get a nice coffee beans/dark chocolate/espresso on the palate as well. Very pleasant finish and a great release from Makers Mark!
Taconic Distillery (up in NY's Hudson Valley) is killing it with their small-batch, award-winning bourbon. They use local New York grains and keep it non-chill filtered. Total outdoor vibe.
Must-try bourbons: Dutchess Private Reserve, the Barrel Strength, the Bottled in Bond, and that amazing Double Barrel Maple finish. So good. 🥃
