Sometimes it’s tough to decide between a dram or a cocktail, but an Old Fashioned is always my go-to. The one I had tonight was exquisite—perfectly balanced and truly hit the spot. I also tried a .5oz pour of Weller CYPB (thanks to Bar Ginza in Vegas, the only place where you can really explore your whiskey palate with smaller pours). Sugar and strawberries on the nose so pleasant and delicate. On the palate I get the same bit more of a punchy flavor with a hint of ethanol. Very well balanced and I still want to say delicate especially upfront. Flavor transfers through all the way to the finish.
