Nose is full of fruit. Cherries, ripe strawberries, and dark cherry syrup blend with a molasses fragrance. The pinot noir aroma enhances the whiskey, rather than overpowering it.
The pallette is delicate akin to a warm molasses. No ethanol on the front. Lots of fruit notes, molasses, and a very mild grassy note. Reminds me of a molasses taffy.
The finish is warm and lasting. The taste fades into the barley and malted candy notes at the end.
One of the best shelf available American Single Malts you can buy. And I declare it a must buy if you want a standout American Single Malt

Winding the weekend down by popping open this sweet little pick sent to me by a good bourbon friend. Baby Saz is the rye that made me fall in love with ryes. Still a favorite of mine for cocktails and quick pours. The price point makes is too easy to keep in stock. I’ll recommend this one all day.

I’ve been hanging onto this bottle for a few years now and finally popped back in. She does NOT disappoint! Warm molasses and cinnamon on the nose, earthy and brown sugar on the front and chocolate finish. Complete perfection! Cheers, y’all!
