Yes, I do know the price of this bottle BUT good whiskey is meant to be opened and shared with family and friends.
If you’re going to just leave it in the box to collect dust then in my opinion you don’t deserve to have it.
Again, thank you to @calumetbourbon farms for sending me this. I still feel I haven’t earned to have a bottle like this. Not only is the bottle design beautiful BUT what’s inside is indescribable.
Let’s get into it:
Color ~ Deep brownish reddish gold.
Nose ~ Same as the high rye release it has a strong dark fruit release. Very deep and rich with caramel and a toasty charred oak.
Palate ~ A vanilla cream heavy butterscotch
explosion 💥 the butter cream just coats all inside the palate. It has this lemon cake coated with cinnamon zest kick and it lingers for several minutes. What’s amazing is the heat just takes off and its here to stay.
Finish ~ The finish is the star ⭐️ very long and high heat. The heat just bursts all around with dark chocolate and an amazing rye spice kick. I haven’t experienced a finish like this in a long time.
This bottle is amazing on all levels. I am so glad I didn’t decide to wait to open this. It’s just kept staring at me and I thought about The Mayor @i_am_rod_bourbondy_ he would cuss me out for not opening this ASAP! OPEN THIS BOTTLE!!! You will not regret it. Cheers 🥃👊
