I have always found most Amburana finished bourbons very much enjoyable, especially Penelope Rio and Starlight Cigar. I spotted a store pick Amburana finished bourbon from Dead Drop and jumped on it. This pick blew me away, and is easily the best expression of an Amburana finished bourbon. I hope Thornton Distilling makes this a permanent bottle in their lineup.

Weller 107 it’s such a good bottle. The perfect middle ground for price, flavor, proof point. Great strawberry sweetness oak and milk chocolate. A bit of ethanol but the flavor is worth it.
This screw top store pick also makes this bottle special since it’s from a simpler time before the bourbon boom and the average age of bourbon was higher since there was less demand.
