into what is essentially a completed product. We started with an incredibly smooth and rich Straight Bourbon Whiskey, hand selected by our Master Distiller, Dave Scheurich, and then coaxed even more flavor and nuance out of it by aging it a little longer in used port barrels. Throughout the process, Dave routinely pulled samples to ensure the extra aging didn?t overpower the bourbon, but complimented it, adding to the complexity and character.The result, a beautiful ruby and amber color. Robust, fruity, nicely balanced with warm bourbon notes enhanced by a subtle port finish highlighted by aromas and flavors of raisins, vanilla, and a touch of smoke. Oaky, but not tannic. Sweet, big, and spicy mouthfeel with a long, pleasant finish.
