There'sa low heat that builds to a comforting warmth. Herbal elements including notes of tarragon and basil stand out, along with the green apple of the nose and a dark cocoa finish. The sweetness is not overwhelming, and the bourbon is a bit of a puzzle for the palate. No one flavor takes over, but all blend perfectly for a seriously enjoyable taste.
Glorious notes of green apple and caramel. Cut stem, a musty sweetness, and elements of the tasting room of a winery come through on the nose.
The car and toast combination adds rich dark chocolate and caramel notes to the finished product. It was developed in partnership with Ducks Unlimited and, like all Daviess County variants, it is a mix of ryed and wheated bourbons and is 96 proof.
