The flavor is complex and well-balanced.the taste of fruit, vanilla, and toffee is immediately noticeable, followed by a hint of oak and spice.the corn flavor is also present, but it is not overwhelming.the whisky has a smooth and mellow taste, with a slight sweetness that lingers on the tongue.
The aroma is quite dry with no trace of alcohol. it has heavy draws of sherry tannins, fruit tree blossoms, and a pleasant roasted corn sweetness.there are also hints of red berry jam, plums, and a subtle hint of banana.faint spices of powdered ginger, white pepper, and a bready yeastiness are present.
The finish is long and sweet.it has an elusive menthol edge, like a hint of grass under snow.the sweetness of the whiskey is balanced out by a subtle spiciness.the finish is smooth and mellow, with a slight warmth that lingers in the throat.
