There's a dry spicy edge to the peat smoke that makes it really quite exquisite. apples browning in sugar, iced chocolate cake, and luxuriously creamy , it becomes oily with a lengthy phase of active spicy pepper, oak, and smoke, though the creaminess returns if you give it long enough.

Full bodied and rich. fruity, malty and sweet. in style. almost chewy in character. apples, grapes, pineapple (not sweet). hints of peat.
Where the regular yoichi single malt has lighter sherry notes i find this replaced by a richer and deeper fruitiness here apples and a hint of pineapple.
Medium to long finish. a flash of bitter oranges, then back to ?normal? with added oakiness in the end.
