Another Single Barrel from our friends at Sazerac. This one is likely distilled and the wonderful Barton Distillery in Bardstown. It's bottled as a sing le barrel at 90 proof and is about as easy going as you'd expect any Barton Bourbnon to be.Round and easy drinking with hints of caramel corn, vanilla bean and a spicy finish.Subtle savory notes temper the dense sweet corn that we always expect with Barton.Perhaps its from warehouses that fall outside of the standard profil or maybe a different mashbill as it's hard to pin down exactly how this differs from the standard Barton, but it's definitely different.Very limited availability.

Though the nose is fruit-filled, the palate offers only caramel and oak, and not a lot of either. There is no complexity, and like the nose, the flavor is faint. There is really only a general sense of sweetness, and the mouthfeel is quite thin.
The nose is quite faint, but it is comprised almost entirely of a fruit scent that is reminiscent of pear or peaches that are canned in heavy syrup.Just a bit of caramel and oak are present.
